Unit 01 - Lesson 1 - Euclidean & Construction Tools

Lesson 1A - Points, Lines, & Planes

  • The student will identify, name, and draw points, lines, segments, rays, and planes. The students will also apply basic facts about points, lines, and planes. 
Lesson 1B - Measuring and Constructing Segments

  • The students will use length and midpoint of a segment. They will also construct midpoints and congruent segments. 

Lesson 1C - Measuring and Constructing Angles

  • The students will name and classify angles and measure and construct angles and angle bisectors.

Lesson 1D - Pairs of Angles

  • The students will identify adjacent, vertical, complementary, and supplementary angles. They will also find measures of pairs of angles.
Unit 01 - Lesson 2 - Inductive & Deductive Reasoning

Lesson 2A - Inductive Reasoning

Lesson 2B - Conditional Statements
  • The student will identify, write, and analyze the truth value of conditional statements and write            the inverse, converse, and contrapositive of a conditional statement. 
Lesson 2C - Biconditional Statements
  • The student will write and analyze biconditional statements. 
Lesson 2D - Deductive Reasoning

  • The student will apply the Law of Detachment and the Law of Syllogism in logical reasoning.
Supplemental Lesson - Constructions
  • The students will construct midpoints congruent segments, angles, and angle bisectors. 

Unit 01 - Lesson 3 - Proofs

Lesson 3A - Reasoning Using Properties of Algebra
  • The students will review properties of equalities, use them to write algebraic proofs, and identify properties of equality and congruence.
Lesson 3B - Proving Statements about Segments & Angles
  • The students will write two column proofs using geometric theorems.
